Mary Ludtke

Director of Children’s EBP Programs

Mary Ludtke is the manager of Evidence Based Practice and Grants Development Section in the Bureau of Children’s Coordinated Health Policy and Supports at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. She is an active member of cross-system planning and implementation workgroups to ensure access to and behavioral health services for infants, toddlers, children, and their families (Home Visiting Leadership Team, PA 291 Workgroup, etc.).

Mary supports the development and implementation of programs for children with a focus on young children and their families. She has partnered with the University of Michigan to evaluate the Infant Mental Health Home Visiting Model as an evidence-based model. Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation, in partnership with MiLEAP, provides consultation to childcare providers as well as training statewide to ensure the social emotional development of infants, toddlers, and pre-school aged children. Though a federal grant, the Safe Babies model is being implemented in three Early Childhood Courts (Wayne, St. Clair, and Saginaw Counties) with technical assistance being provided to other interested communities.

Mary directs the Children’s Trauma Initiative which provides training and technical assistance in trauma screening, assessment, and evidence-based models. Mary also directs the implementation of evidence-based models in the public mental health system. They include Parent Management Training—Oregon, Parenting Through Change, the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Initiative (Families Moving Forward, Strengths and Strategies), Motivational Interviewing for Adolescents, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents.

She is active in the development and implementation of integration of behavioral health in primary care models for children, youth, and perinatal women. She works closely with the University of Michigan in the implementation of the Michigan Clinical Consultation and Care (MC3) model across Michigan.

Katherine Fitzpatrick, MA

Coordinator

Katherine serves as the coordinator of the FASD System of Care for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Children’s Coordinated Health Policy & Supports. Kathy oversees the roll-out of evidence-based and evidence-informed practices for families raising children with FASD served within Michigan’s Community Mental Health System. She manages all aspects of the multiple component FASD system of care. Also, Kathy coordinates the learning collaboratives for Motivational Interviewing for Adolescents. After receiving a MA in Counseling from MSU, Kathy’s career began at Olivet College where she served as Director of Counseling and Career Services for three years. She next assisted higher education students at Michigan State University’s James Madison College as Field Experience Director and Associate Director of Student Affairs. After taking some time off away from work outside the home to raise her three children and numerous dogs, Kathy resumed her career with the MDHHS’s Children’s Trauma Initiative at CMH: Clinton, Eaton, Ingham. Kathy began with the FASD Initiative in 2017 where she seeks to assist clinical staff in their efforts to help children with a suspected FASD and their families.

Daniel Dubovsky, MSW

FASD Specialist

Dan has worked for over 40 years in the field of behavioral health. He has worked as a child care worker in residential treatment and as a therapist in residential treatment, inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Dan has been involved in the field of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) for over 20 years. He has presented regionally, nationally, and internationally on FASD focusing on interventions and prevention for children, adolescents and adults.

Reana Kyprianides, LMSW

FMF State Trainer

Reana graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish (2007), and a Master’s degree in Social Work (2009). She began working for Macomb County Community Mental Health in 2010. Reana provided behavior intervention plans and therapy to children and families, before becoming a clinical supervisor at MCCMH. She has experience working in,and supervising programs that provide services to children with developmental disabilities, and children with severe emotional disturbances. Reana is certified in TFCBT, and has completed training cohorts for Families Moving Forward, Motivational Interviewing for Adolescents, and PMTO (supervisor track). Outside of work, Reana enjoys photography, traveling, and staying active.

Corin Myers, LMSW

FMF State Trainer

Corin graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Family Studies (2001), and a Master’s degree in Social Work (2005). She began working for Macomb County Community Mental Health in 2010. Corin was a wraparound coordinator before becoming a clinical supervisor in 2017. She currently supervises the Children’s Mobile Crisis Unit and Children’s Diversion program, which is a 28 day crisis stabilization program. Corin has completed training cohorts for Families Moving Forward and Motivational Interviewing. She has been supervising Families Moving Forward since 2018 and is a state trainer, along with Reana Kyprianides. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, staying active, and spending time with her 9-year-old son.

Trainer

Margo is a Psychotherapist with a Masters in Counseling Psychology and is Licensed in Illinois as a LPC. Margo is Member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). She is Certified as a Substance Abuse and Problem and Compulsive Gambling Counselor, Anger Management Specialist, and her work focuses on Youth with chemical and Process Addictions of Gaming, Gambling, Internet, and Social Media for the past 30 years. Margo has been happy to travel the world providing training (MI and Addictive Behaviors).

Anika Trancik

Intervention Fidelity Trainer

Anika M. Trancik, Ph.D., is a licensed child clinical psychologist who specializes in FASD diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, with over a decade of research experience in the field. Since 2002, Dr. Trancik has dedicated her career to FASD, starting while in graduate school at the University of Washington. There she assisted Dr. Carmichael Olson in developing the Families Moving Forward (FMF) Foundations as a scientifically validated FASD intervention. Since 2007, she’s been on staff at The Florida Center for Early Childhood in Sarasota where she continued her work in the field at Florida’s first state-wide FASD diagnostic and intervention clinic. Currently, Dr. Trancik is an experienced FASD trainer and is passionate about educating others on the risk of prenatal alcohol exposure and stopping this 100% preventable condition. Dr. Trancik received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and PhD in child psychology from the University of Washington. With the FASD System of Care, she is an intervention fidelity trainer (consultant) for Families Moving Forward.

Ana Cardenas Rolon

Intervention Fidelity Trainer

Ana C. Cardenas Rolon, is a licensed clinical social worker, and the FASD Clinical Supervisor at the Violence Intervention Program-Community Mental Health Center (VIP-CMHC) in East Los Angeles. Since 2012 she has been working with children who have been diagnosed with a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), providing bilingual individual, family, collateral, and group therapy. In addition to being an FASD specialist, Ana is also trained in Infant Mental Health Services, School-Based Mental Health Services, Evidence-Based Practices, and as a HUB Clinical Therapist/Crisis Specialist. She is the FASD/Families Moving Forward (a scientifically validated FASD intervention) Lead Clinician at VIP, providing support and leadership to newly trained clinicians and provides FASD-informed supervision and consultation. With the FASD System of Care, she is an intervention fidelity trainer (consultant) for the Families Moving Forward (FMF) program.
